Damaged door.
Last week, a property developer called us for a routine job: lost keys to a finished project, needing access and a rim lock (Yale style) change. We quickly obliged, ensuring the property was secure ahead of its sale. The next morning, as we arrived to hand keys to the estate agent, we discovered an unexpected turn: the property had been broken into overnight.
The intruders, however, had clearly faced a significant challenge. Unable to pick or drill the newly installed locks, they had to resort to brute force, kicking the door in to gain entry. Thankfully, the property was empty, so they left disappointed with nothing to steal and no further internal damage. It was a stark, real-world testament to the resilience of our locks, which successfully deterred sophisticated entry, forcing a noisy, visible, and ultimately fruitless forced breach.
