Stolen keys

Late last night, around 12:30 AM, I received a call from a distraught wife. Her husband had been involved in an altercation, resulting in the theft of his car keys, along with the keys to their family home. With the police already on site, and their recommendation to change the locks immediately, I advised the wife on a crucial temporary security measure: to lock their doors from the inside and leave the keys in the internal side of the locks. This simple act effectively prevents anyone with the stolen keys from gaining entry from the outside. To help manage costs during such a stressful time, we arranged for a full lock change first thing this morning, ensuring the family home was fully secured once again.

This incident underscores a vital point: when keys are stolen, getting all locks professionally changed is the absolutely correct decision. It immediately negates the risk posed by the stolen keys, preventing unauthorized access. As we approach seasons like Christmas, locksmiths often see an increase in activity, unfortunately aligning with periods of higher crime. Please stay vigilant, always lock your doors, and in times of need, always choose a local, qualified locksmith you can trust.
